Hurricane Cup / Eye of the Storm
Also a "Follow the Flag" Event
8 September --Hurricane Cup:
Well the name of this excursion was well named. The racers reported gusts Saturday up into the mid 30kts and taking green water over the bow. I was a guest on another cruising boat and we decided not to make the run to Nantucket due to the weather forecasts. Instead is was a couple of drinks on the mooring and then home for couch time.
9 September --Eye of the Storm:
Little wind and lots of rain and cold winds kept the racers straggling in during the afternoon. No comment from the cruisers who probably bailed out during Sunday. Comment from the racers was "good decision not to go".
Race results on the scoring site when compiled.
